Adobe Photoshop CS5 – Technology News

The color range my be one the most useful features in Photoshop CS4. Here is what you can do with the color range… and in this example your friends may be at risk.

Step 1. Find a Photo..

In this example we have just use a photo we found from a friend on facebook. We are now going to switch the head out or lay Ellen Degenris’s head over top of his.

Step 2. Find a head shot on Ellen..

We now have the two photos we are going to for the final image.

Step 3. Arranging the photos in Photoshop…

Once you have opened Photoshop and imported both photos onto the same canvas, you will now now make the first picture not visible by selecting the little eye logo beside the layer.

Step 4. Using the Color Range feature to select just Ellens head from the photo…

Highlight the layer that holds the photo of Ellen in the layers panel, click the select tab at the top of the screen and select “color range…”. Once you  have the color range open the default pointer will be an eye dropper. Select the color of the background by simple clicking it. Then click OK. You now have a selection of just the background color.

Step 5. Delete the unwanted background and shirt…

With the background will selected simple press the Delete key on your key board. After that is gone you will find your erase tool and go over the white shirt to make it not visible and only leaving her head.

Step 6. Placing the head on the body…

You can now make all layers visible. Highlight the Ellen layer and drag the head over the first picture. Using the Auto Transform Controls with your Move Tool (the default tool, the arrow) grab a corner holding down the Shift key and make the layer smaller of bigger to fit the body perfect and to cover up the original head.

Step 7. Save the file you are done!

Well this is very common when registering for a new domain name. If you want the name of your company and some little loser has that domain and it’s a shitty blog, that sucks.

There is one thing you can do though if you are willing to pay more than the asking $10 that you pay for a new name. You can hire a company to track down the person who owns the site and get them to sell it to them, then you would buy from them. On the other hand you can try and do this your self by preforming a WHOIS search. You can do this on Godaddy.com and find out who the domain belongs to or who bought, being a design company or a loser kid. After you find this info you can email the person making them an offer. This is showing you are very interested in the name and will pay a high price for it, that’s bad. If you use a company to contact the owner they will get the domain at a lower price and in the end you will be paying a lower price.

Just so this is clear to all our users, Adobe does not give release dates more than a few weeks of notice to when a Creative Suite coming out, they will announce their products and a week or two later release them.  What we can tell you is that it takes them about 2 years to develop a new product line, and every website that tells you a date is just pulling that out of their ass hole. CS4 was announced on September 23, 2008 and was officially released on October 15, 2008, so that should give you a good idea about how they release their Suites.  CS5 could take awhile to come out so do not hold your breathe.  In the meantime check out other new technology on the site by browsing through the post.  If you want to know as soon as the CS5 is released keep checking back because it will be here and most likely with a link to a free download.

Windows 7 has been out now for enough time for users to hate on it or love on it, and from what we can see is that most Windows 7 users love it. If you are still stuck on XP it’s only a matter of time before you will not be able to use it anymore. Computers are turning a new 64 bit leaf, and leaving all 32 bit users in the dust with their speed, graphics and usability. If you have more than 4 GB of RAM then XP is no longer for you because it can only access AT THE MOST 3.5 of them and wasting your time. On the other hand Windows 7 can handle much greater amounts of memory as much as 128+ GB in their ultimate version as compared to XP’s 3.5 GB. Soon they will start making computer games in 64 bit which will totally rock the 32 bit games out of the damn water, and do you think a machine running XP will be able to play these… NO! Computer hardware is gaining speed and power quickly so if you want to be up to date with the times and have a OS that supports anything you throw at it i recommend you upgrade to Windows 7 or at least Vista to get the full experience of your computers hardware.
